Shellshock 2 – Ledge en Dame
This track was written for the PS2 game Shellshock 2 Bloodlines, developed by Rebellion, published by Eidos.
As a group of big burly GI’s traipse around a bombed out French Colonial mansion in Vietnam, one accidentally trips a gramaphone and this 1930s track blurts out. This is the track recorded before we processed it to sound old and shit!
It was a really interesting challenge working for us to work out what made a track sound implicitly French, of course the Accordion helped enormously but the underlying structure and chord progressions, that took a lot of reading up on, hopefully we pulled it off!
This was recorded by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
