Green Street 3 – Training Montage
The first training montage from Green Street 3: Never Back Down, our award winning score from James Nunn’s film for Lionsgate. When the director first discussed the genre of music from the film, he wanted it to be a little different so the brief was to combine the best elements of ‘Drive’ and ‘Rocky III’.
So, he shot his first training sequence completely in the style of Rocky, slo-mo, god rays and all. So, we went out for a complete pastiche of Vince DiCola’s great 80s score, synth brass and all. It’s been mentioned in a few reviews, winning best Action Score of 2013 and according to Denofgeek.com, the Best DTV soundtrack they’ve ever heard.
