Games Convention Symphonic Concert
01 Aug 03
| We’ve just returned from a concert in Leipzig, Germany where our music was one of 16 suites of game music played by the Czech National Orchestra to open the 2003 Games Convention. We were very honoured to be part of this concert (first of its kind outside of Japan) where the producers hand-picked the highlights of game music globally from the past 10 years. Along with Headhunter by Richard Jacques, we were the only composers representing Britain. The experience was enormously rewarding and is a sign that game music is fast becoming socially mobile, moving up the family ranks from the poor cousin. Not long before we’re the sugar daddy!

Although the concert wasn’t recorded, we surreptitiously took a 15 second movie using our digital camera, so you can get at least a ‘flavour’ of what the concert was like – and hear a bit of Primal! We aren’t the concert copyright owners so this is merely a taster, and not to be used in any official capacity without express permission of the concert producers.
