Through those diamond geysers at SIDE we won the commission to score 2 ’Vignettes’ for CNN. These 50 second long self-contained stories focussed on Raffles Hotel in Singapore and Giorgio Locatelli’s restaurant in Italy. Musically they couldn’t have been any different, the former requiring what I can only describe as ’Oriental Funk’ and the other 50s Jazz. Sticking to our mantra of ’keeping it real’, we recorded the entire short scores live. Thanks to the nice guys at CNN who provided us with video files to put online, click here to have a gander.

You may be thinking, what kind of title of a news article is that? Well, we’re keeping things lo-key at the moment but we at Bob & Barn are working with a couple of associates towards starting another company with yet another silly name. This time devoted to ringtones. Hopefully it’ll go live at sometime during July or August. We’re under no illusions that we’re about to enter a very crowded market. Let’s hope that our musical credentials will help us stand out.
