Our first collaboration with our latest partners ‘Streamline Studios’ came in the form of providing the sound for the FMV of Unreal Tournament 2004. A prestigious project to be involved with and a hugely successful first collaboration. We overcame a whole heap of technical challenges to provide the sonic environments, foley and spot FX for this project. It also gave Barn the opportunity to prove to the world that foley / sound design is far from boring and the phone rings when you least expect it to…. 2004 Game BAFTAs Did we win? Alas no (otherwise this news item would be surrounded with really cheesy animated Champagne bottles), Harry Potter was the victor. Even so, we all had a great night and managed to get immensely drunk – although it was a great shame that the ‘management’ wouldn’t let us all enjoy a spot of 3 AM impromptu jazz with a load of other muso’s.
